Jon Sederstrom is the Country Manager for J.D. Power do Brasil. In this role Mr. Sederstrom manages all aspects of J.D. Power’s business operations in Brazil including sales, business development, media relations, new product development, financial planning, and talent development. He has been a resident of São Paulo since 2010 and is frequently quoted in national and international media as an expert on the Brazilian automotive industry.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Sederstrom served as J.D. Power’s Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning. Based in Los Angeles, he led efforts to develop corporate strategies, managed acquisition and partnership activity, and completed a variety of financial and operational investigations in support of the business (e.g., market entry, portfolio management, etc.).
Prior to joining J.D. Power in 2006, Mr. Sederstrom held positions at several financial institutions. He was an economist with Payden & Rygel Investment Management. Mr. Sederstrom was also a research analyst at the Milken Institute, a leading economic think tank, where he analyzed financial and economic trends and contributed to research publications. Earlier, he was a business analyst at Pioneer Investment Management, Inc., leading crossfunctional teams to develop and enhance software applications to meet business objectives.
Mr. Sederstrom earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Williams College and master’s degrees in business administration (MBA) and Latin American studies from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
